Wire Shelf Pantry Makeover
Update the basic wire shelf in your pantry by covering it with plywood! Just a few materials and a few hours of your time and the headache you have every time you use your pantry will disappear! One of my sisters, Emily, recently purchased her first house, a sweet little townhouse! When I asked her what projects she needed done, she immediately said she wanted to get rid of the wire shelving in her pantry closet.

Bathroom Planning: Closets
What’s In A Closet? No, not all master bathrooms have closets. But we’re making room for a very small one in our bathroom addition, and it brought up some interesting dilemmas for me! So just like with my post on planning for a vanity, choosing between a shower and/or tub, and a separate toilet room, I’m sharing my planning questions with you! Consider Possible Layouts When you are drawing up plans for a new bathroom, it’s easy enough to allocate space to a closet. BUT, what you can’t see on a set of blueprints is how does that closet function? Is there enough space for it to be a walk-in…

When Everything Has A Place
How to Add Storage & Organize the Garage When it comes to organizing ANY space in your house, it’s essential for everything you need stored to have a designated spot. The garage Dad and I recently helped overhaulĀ on Today’s Homeowner was a great example! So I thought it was the perfect time to share some tips from a recent episode of Today’s Homeowner about organizing your garage! Set Priorities As with any organization project, it is essential to take inventory of what you have and what your needs are as far as storage goes. What do you use most often? It needs to be easily accessible at all times. What is stored for seasonal use, i.e. Christmas or summer camping?…

Adding a Stained Top to a Metal Cart
I love being able to modify something to make it more unique, pretty, or functional. Especially when that something was only $8 to begin with! So when I found this cart at our local Goodwill store, I knew it’d be perfect for my laundry room project after a few modifications. I could have put a lot more time and money into, but decided spray painting it and adding a simple stained wood top to match the laundry sorter would be plenty!

How To Hang A Cube Organizer
How to Hang a Cube Organizer on the Wall When it came to storage and organization in my laundry room project, I wanted to think outside the (cabinet) box. The plan is to put cabinets on the wall above the washer and dryer, so I thought it’d be fun to use something different on the opposite wall above the laundry sorter. And I think that’s what I got. It’d be great in a bedroom or family room too!
