Glam Pumpkin Projects on HLN
DIY Sequin and Watercolor Pumpkins If you missed my segment all about ‘glamming’ up pumpkins for fall on HLN last Sunday, click to watch it above! A few weeks ago, I was thrilled to be asked to join Susan Hendricks on HLN’s Weekend Express! I spent the week leading up to the taping of the segment crafting with pumpkins! You can read my tutorial on 3 Ways to Decorate Pumpkins by clicking here. Since HLN is a sister network of CNN, I traveled to the CNN Center in Atlanta to tape the segment and it was a blast! I’ve been in news studios before, and even interned at CBS’s The…

DIY Fall Metal Door Hanger
How to Make a Wreath Out of Metal Flashing I’ve seen people on my personal Facebook with wreaths or door hangers in cute shapes made out of metal. Making Old Pegboard Look New
How To Video for Updating Old Pegboard and Creating Custom Bins for Hanging If you have old pegboard laying around, or if you’re buying some new, here are some tips to make it look more modern and fun! Painting Painting always seems to be involved in any of my upcycle projects! But it’s such a quick and cheap way to transform something, I just can’t help myself sometimes! This particular piece had been in use for many years. Some of the peg holes were blown out from what I can only assume was where screws attached the board to the wall. So I used some 120-grit sandpaper to smooth those…

Update: House Numbers
It hasn’t been too long since I hung up my moss-covered house numbers on the front porch. Unfortunately, it was plenty of time (9 months to be exact) for the sun to wreck havoc on them and fade the mossy green color. It just made them blend in with my siding which is the opposite of their purpose…So it was time for a little update.

Repurpose Dingy Hand Towel
Don’t throw your old hand towels away! I was thisclose to throwing away a dingy Christmas hand towel. But the small design on the front was still cute and in great shape! The dingy part was mostly on the back where it had been stained from a pair of my red pants, or rather from trying to dye said pants in the washing machine…

DIY Christmas Topiary
Whether you’re looking for a last-minute Christmas decor project or saving up ideas for next year, I love the way these DIY Christmas topiaries turned out! Maybe you saw this video on Facebook in the fall? I mostly followed the same steps but exchanged the fall leaf garland for Christmas green garland. In all honesty, most of my Christmas decorations were purchased on sale the days after Christmas the past few years. Like 50-75% off kind of sales! So if that’s the way you like to shop too, here’s what you’ll need to complete this project next year. (You can also pin it to save the how-to for later!)
