That’s exactly what Dad and I did in an episode of Today’s Homeowner to give the homeowners a little more space in front of the fridge. Open It Up Tight refrigerator access wasn’t the only thing closing in this open floor plan home. The first thing guests saw when they walked in was a long half wall that made it super awkward to open the door and let guests in.

You don’t have to remove walls, replace cabinets or install top-of-the-line granite to update the look of an older kitchen. OK, you may want to! But these few steps can give you a great-looking kitchen without much of a monetary investment because sometimes dreams don’t equal reality.?Do one, do all! Installing Wall Cabinets
A big issue I planned to correct when I started this laundry room project was a lack of storage. With 4 kids living in the house and the laundry room’s proximity to the kitchen, it serves as overflow for big box store food storage like cereals, chips, and snacks. I already added a little storage on the wall opposite the washer and dryer by hanging a cube organizer. But nothing compares to good old cabinetry! So that’s what happened above the washer and dryer.
