DIY Pennant Banner for Kids Room
This DIY Pennant Banner is the perfect something extra for a kid bedroom or play space! It’s so easy to paint by hand with minimal materials and skills! We overhauled this bedroom for a grandmother who has 6 grandkids. She needed more beds than just the full bed and futon previously in the room. So Dad and I built 2 sets of bunk beds complete with trundle drawer storage underneath! The transformation was part of an episode for Today’s Homeowner. I designed the room to be fun and cute but not too young since the grandkids span ages 1 to 9. Bright colors mixed with black and white bedding was…

DIY Lighted Marquee Numbers
Create DIY large lighted numbers to celebrate any birthday or anniversary using dollar store foam boards and cafe lights. The fundraiser at my kids’ school was celebrating 20 years. So I volunteered to make these DIY lighted numbers as part of the decor for the event! Sure we could have rented them. But that would have cost around $300. Possibly more. Instead I only spent around $30 since I already had cafe string lights on hand!

Rattan Frame for Oval Mirror
Dress up a simple oval bathroom mirror with wicker cord to look like a rattan masterpiece for under $100. What to Buy (2) 20″x30″ foam boards oval mirror* white tape* brown spray paint* small utility knife* wicker rattan cord* multi-surface glue* tiny clamps* clear mounting tape* When I was originally planning our hall bathroom remodel, I wanted to add wood or rattan mirrors to break up the faux marble wall and chrome sconces. Well, eventually is here…17 months later…ðĪ·ðžââïļ Prep Foam Board Base The base of this mirror…

Review of My Favorite Paint Sprayer!
The best way to get a smooth and fine finish on almost any painted project is with a paint sprayer! I’ve used the same one for over 3 years and can’t say enough good things about it, as evidenced in this review video! Pros It’s easy to use right out of the box. There aren’t a bunch of knobs you have to figure out. It holds a decent amount of paint, enough for at least one coat of most projects. It’s SO easy to clean! Cons Not ideal for large areas like walls or exteriors, in my opinion. It doesn’t do the work for you.ð For real, it doesn’t have…

DIY Kid Height Keepsake
Quick Way to Track Kids’ Growth Each New Year Easy project to measure your children’s growth each year with this keepsake chart that can be tucked away when not in use! Growing up, my dad always insisted on marking my sisters’ and my height. We usually ended up doing it sometime around Christmas or New Years because it was an easy milestone to remember. We did it on the doorstop inside our hallway closet. Now, my parents are building a new house and planning to move sometime this year. So they’ll have to cut the doorstop out to take our growth chart with them! Since my husband and I don’t…
