‘Tis the season to have a revolving door of guests over and deep clean your living spaces. Or at least that’s the case for my home. Putting up the Christmas tree in my living room required a little rearranging of the furniture that’s in there year round.
And moving furniture around brought my attention to how dusty my new curtains are already. They were just put up in August! Sometimes you just don’t notice how dirty something is until you clean it, though.
Even if you prefer to wash or dry clean your curtains, it certainly helps them get their best clean by vacuuming dust and dirt first. Of course, if you’re like me, vacuuming the curtains is all the clean you need. 🙂
So, I’ve found that it’s easiest to vacuum curtains while they’re still hanging. Of course you’ll want to use the brush attachment for your vacuum cleaner.
It helps pull up the dust while also keeping the curtain from being sucked up by the suction of the vacuum. But what I found even better was using the wider attachment from my wet/dry vac from the shop.
It still has the brush bristles, but covers more surface area at a time!
Clean curtains is one of those things that guests may not notice, but you’ll be able to enjoy their company more knowing your curtains are clean! Thanks for Checking In! ~Chelsea
