How does Chelsea choose projects for her web show?A: They say necessity is the mother of invention, and that’s not far off from how the Checking In With Chelsea web series determines monthly projects. It’s a balance between the guest’s home needs and something new to share with the audience.
Where can I find the products mentioned in your projects?A: Most products are included in the blog post below each episode. If you have a specific product in mind, be sure to comment on the video or blog post page you’re referencing, and Chelsea will reply.
Who is Chelsea?A: Chelsea is a twenty-something first-time homeowner. Daughter of national home improvement expert Danny Lipford, she was born and raised a home enthusiast and enjoys all facets of homeownership. Read more about her and her web series on the About page.
Where else can I find Chelsea?A: Chelsea’s popularity grew when her dad helped remodel her first home on Today’s Homeowner’s First-Time Homeowner series. Since then she’s been co-hosting Today’s Homeowner, a nationally-syndicated home improvement TV show. Find out where it airs in your area by visiting their website: Today’s Homeowner
How often does the web series air?A: Monthly! A new episode is posted on the first day of each month. And they remain there indefinitely.
Who produces Checking In With Chelsea?A: 3 Echoes Productions based in Mobile, Alabama, has been producing home improvement videos, TV shows and web series for more than 17 years. They produce Today’s Homeowner, which Chelsea also co-hosts. You can find out more about other projects they’ve worked on by visiting 3echoes.com.
How did you get interested in home improvement and crafts?A: My appreciation for the instant gratification that comes from home improvement projects was instilled in me from an early age by my dad. It’s one thing to pick out a tile pattern, but to be able to say “Yea, I installed it myself” is a feeling all its own. Plus, when you do it yourself you’re getting something that fits your space and style exactly, no compromises with something off-the-shelf.
What’s your favorite color?A: Pink! From hot pink to pale pink and everything in between.
Three words that best describe your design style?A: Casual, cozy, cheerful. I might also be a bit obsessed with C’s!
